Steps to request account deletion
- Email zain.tariq@mail.com from the same email address you used to create your Wasl account.
- Use the subject line: Wasl account deletion request

In the message body include:
- Your Wasl username (if you remember it)
- A clear statement that you want your account and associated data deleted
- Optional: any specific data you want confirmed deleted
- We will verify that the request comes from the account owner, then process deletion.
- You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete (or if we need more information).
What we delete
When your account deletion is completed, we delete or permanently de-identify:
- Your Firebase Auth account (email / sign-in credentials)
- Your profile (name, username, bio, interests, preferences, photos, voice profile)
- Your matches, likes, blocks, and discovery preferences
- Your chats, voice notes, and reactions tied to your account
- Your stories, club memberships, and live-session history tied to your account
- Mehram invite / supervision records tied to your account
- Push tokens and device identifiers linked only to your account
- Optional contact hashes you added for blocking
What we may keep (and for how long)
- Safety and abuse records (reports you filed or that were filed about you, moderation flags, device bans): may be retained up to 24 months where needed to prevent fraud, ban evasion, or protect other users, then deleted or anonymized.
- Legal / financial records if required by law: kept only as long as the law requires.
- Aggregated analytics that cannot reasonably identify you may remain.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before those backups roll off, then it is gone.
How long deletion takes
We aim to complete account deletion within 30 days of verifying your request. Most requests are handled sooner. If we need more time for safety review, we will tell you.
Delete some data without deleting your whole account
Yes. You can keep your Wasl account and still ask us to remove specific personal data (for example a photo, chat history, or profile fields).

You can also edit or remove many profile fields yourself inside the Wasl app (Settings → profile / photos).
